In Côte d'Ivoire, numerous studies focus on the knowledge of utility plants. However, northern Côte d'Ivoire is one of the least studied areas. During this study, the aim was to contribute to a better knowledge of plant species in northern Côte d'Ivoire. More specifically, this means estimating the floristic diversity of northern Côte d'Ivoire, the biodiversity conservation potential of these biotopes and the availability of utility plants and their use value. To achieve these objectives, we have synthesized the data collected on the availability of plant resources in the various phytogeographic regions and their uses. As a result, the northern region of Côte d'Ivoire is full of great floristic diversity. Out of 917 species, 477 utility species have been identified. The most represented families are Fabaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Poaceae. The Guineo-Congolese region (GC) is the one with the largest number of species. The most common biological types are microphanerophytes, mesophanerophytes, and nanophanerophytes. The calculation of indices of rarefaction, vulnerability and importance value showed that these species were threatened with vulnerability and rarity. Indeed, these species are of great use for populations both in terms of medicine, food, crafts, wood and service, industrial, ornamental etc... The pressure exerted on these species also lies in the method of sampling. Conservation efforts must be taken for the sustainability of species.
