2022 Apr 21Project to develop a numerical database on the flora and vegetation of the Marahoué National Park in Center-West Côte d'Ivoire
The Marahoué National Park located in the department of Bouaflé is one of the most important parks for the conservation of flora and fauna since it abounds in a high variety of fauna and flora resources. It is considered to be the richest protected area in large mammal populations and agricultural land, so the park is heavily attacked by professional poachers and farmers. The fight against poaching and logging, which is ensured by the surveillance system in this park, remains ineffective due to limited resources. Hence the opportunity of this project, which aims, among other things, to inventory, digitize and popularize floristic data through the BIOLAND tool in Côte d'Ivoire.
