The “Millennium Challenge Account” run by the “Millennium Challenge Corporation” is a fund for development. The Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) is a fund designed to accelerate growth in order to reduce poverty through economic growth.

The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is an initiative of the American Administration that consists of a partnership with countries that have achieved some performance in the following three areas:

• good governance in the management of public affairs;
• creating an environment favourable to private initiative;
• and commitment by the State to make significant investments in the social sector.

The plan conditions loans on the adoption of economic policies favorable to investment, in particular through public-private partnerships.
