Climate change: MINEDD initiates a project to monitor and report on NDCs
On September 13 in Abidjan (CRRAE UMOA), representatives of the main stakeholders responsible for the review, measurement and implementation of Ivorian NDCs met as part of a validation workshop for the project “low-carbon transition in Côte d'Ivoire”.
The aim of the project is to follow up, through the coordination of an MRV system in connection with the CDNs (Measurement, Reporting and Verification System). This tool will allow the Ministry in charge of the Environment to record the achievements of all climate initiatives and to better report to the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
It must be said that Côte d'Ivoire received financial and technical support from the European Union and Expertise France to implement the “Low Carbon Transition - Ivory Coast” project.
