COP15: More than 55,000 pieces of unused materials and equipment reintegrated into the State's assets.
After the holding of the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP 15) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification and Drought, from 9 to 20 May 2022 in Abidjan, more than 55,000 pieces of materials and equipment unused by the Organizing Committee were made available to the Ivorian State Heritage.
The delivery of these materials and equipment was the subject of an official ceremony on Thursday, September 15, 2022, in Abidjan, in the presence of the Ministers Jean-Luc ASSI of the Environment and Sustainable Development, Moussa SANOGO of the Budget and the State Portfolio, Épiphane Zoro Bi Ballo of the Promotion of Good Governance and the Fight against Corruption and the President of the COP 15 Organizing Committee, Abou Bamba.
For Minister Moussa SANOGO, “behind this apparently banal and innocuous action, there is a fundamental value of good governance, accountability and an essential virtue of good administration, transparency in the management of accounting in this area.”
For his part, Minister Jean-Luc Aussi recalled that the organization of COP15 had significant economic effects for Côte d'Ivoire, beyond the perfect organization of this world meeting.
According to Abou Bamba, these properties are made available to the State's assets as part of the application of the principles of good governance as advocated by the government.
“Land, life, heritage: from a precarious world to a prosperous future” was the theme of this global meeting.
