The national monograph on biological diversity makes it possible to draw up a state of biological diversity. This work confirms that Côte d'Ivoire has significant biological diversity on its territory and that is likely to support development policies and actions to combat poverty. It also appears that the erosion of biological diversity has reached levels that call for the initiation of strong and well-targeted actions in order to hope to reverse the trend of the disappearance of national biological resources.
