Evaluation and development of a funding mechanism and efficient management of data on plant biodiversity in Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast)
This project revitalizes the National Floristic Center (CNF), the state institution responsible for plant biodiversity studies and host of the national herbarium, by setting up a mechanism for plant data management in Côte d'Ivoire. Agreements for collaboration and research are being developed between the four project partners — the CNF; the Swiss Center for Scientific Research, a leading research institute in the country; the Jean Lorougnon Guédé University which surveys plant biodiversity in protected areas in the country and the Aké-Assi Botanical Institute in protected areas in the country and the Aké-Assi Botanical Institute in Andokoi, which has significant holdings of academic and research data.
