Taï National Park
The history of the creation of the Taï National Park begins in 1926. Riezebos et al. (1994), in Adou et al. (2005), recall that the colonial administration created the “Refuge Park of the Middle and Lower Cavally Forest Region” by decree 2508/AG/11/04/1926 by decree 2508/AG/11/04/1926. After several successive names, the Taï integral fauna and flora reserve became, in 1972, the “Taï National Park” by decree no. 72-544 of 28 August 1972, with an area of 350,000 hectares. In 1973, the Park was amputated by an area of 20,000 hectares in favor of the N'zo Reserve by decree no. 73-132 of 21 March 1973.
